What impact could your organisational and administrative skills have on the success of our students and staff?
If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, where every day brings a new challenge – then we have a wonderful opportunity for you at St Mary’s.
St Mary’s is a very special school that has served the town of Burton Latimer since 1581, which places the Christian values at the heart of everything we do. We aim to offer a well-balanced, engaging and relevant curriculum, to allow our children to dream, believe, and achieve.
Central to this provision is our school community, which is wide and varied. From our Staff, Governors and Parents, our shared goal throughout our family, is to support our children and develop their physical, emotional, social and intellectual skills, in a happy, safe and vibrant school environment. Ensuring our children feel valued and respected, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude for learning, equips them with the confidence and skills they need to be happy and successful.
To join St Mary’s, is to join a community that is passionate about ensuring our children feel valued and respected, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude for learning, which equips them with the confidence and skills they need to be happy and successful. As a church school, we place Christian values at the heart of everything we do, to inspire our children to strive for excellence in all that they do, knowing that they are valued, respected and can make a real difference.
Following a successful Ofsted inspection in March 2023 inspectors reported that St Mary's is a welcoming and inclusive school, where leaders have secured a calm learning environment. 'Staff are happy at this school, they work well as a team and support each other well. Staff appreciate the training that leaders organise for them...and they are mindful of the wellbeing of staff.'

- Can maintain a courteous, professional and welcoming manner, in person, writing and on the telephone, with key stakeholders, to reflect our key values.
- Can provide effective secretarial support to meet the school’s administrative daily requirements.
- Can work efficiently to maintain record keeping, maintaining compliance with data protection requirement.
- Takes accountability for the organisation and management of key school procedures, including, but not limited to, submission of relevant data to HR, Finance and Health and Safety teams, Admission procedures, Pupil Attendance, Pupil census submission, organisation of school trips and risk assessments, website maintenance and safeguarding protocol.
- Can make special contribution to our school community, as a Admin Assistant and a Team Member.
- Is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
- Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare- both at home and in school.
