Administrative Officer job summary

Hours: 35.5 hrs per week (Monday - Thursday - 8:30am - 4.15pm, Friday - 8.30am - 3.30pm, including an unpaid break of 30 minutes), 39 weeks + 1 week

Actual Salary: £21,514.22 (includes term-time plus 1 extra week to be worked in the summer holidays)

The role will involve working in the school office as the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the school.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role will be to:

- Provide administrative support for the Senior Leadership Team
- Manage the school office and the administrative assistant
- Clerk for the School Academy Council
- Lead on the Health and Safety Admin
- Be the data protection lead at the school
- Lead on maintaining and updating of Arbor
- Support the Educational Visits Co-ordinator with all trips

The successful applicant will:

  • Be committed to the children and always put them first
  • Have previous experience of working in a busy office environment and within a team
  • Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office , and knowledge in the Arbor MIS system would be advantageous (training can be provided)
  • Have first aid training (or willingness to complete it)
  • Have risk assessor training (or a willingness to complete it)
  • Feel an affinity with our vision and values
  • Have GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills
  • Actively participate in regular training and development
  • Exhibit their commitment to maintaining a robust culture of safeguarding
  • Maintain confidentiality and an understanding of data protection
