Join our thriving academy and support our students. We are currently looking to appoint a Student Services Support and Admissions Officer to join us at Harris Garrard Academy .
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- High quality ICT skills (and a willingness to undertake training when required), used to promote effective administration, organisation, communication and management
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to quickly gain and maintain credibility and rapport with managers and staff across the school
- A good telephone manner and professional image
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills which indicate a warm, efficient and hospitable manner to all
- Excellent listening and communication skills and sensitivity in complex situations

Harris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3–18 academy with approximately 1350 pupils on roll and joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose built building. Further information about the job
The purpose of your role will be:
- To ensure that you are the gate keeper for access to student services for all students
- To triage all first aid that is reported via student services, involving treating, logging, calls to parents and supervising pupils until collected
- To lead on the academy admissions procedure and coordinate the enrolment of all admissions to the academy
- To lead on the application and logging of all FSM applications to the academy through L2ICT
- To manage all off rolling in the academy and ensure that all off roll files are maintained in line with statutory guidance
