Job Purpose
Improving Admissions
Administration of Year 6 and 6th Form admissions into the Academy
Taking and responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries.
Main point of contact for Admissions, Open Evening, Transition and other student Induction events, with parents, students, staff and Local Authority Admissions Team
Administration of Open Mornings and Evenings, including arranging publicity. Attending Open Evening to assist in the event and to give advice to parents on our Admissions Procedure.
To be a key point of contact for the Academy’s uniform supplier.
Ensuring that transition and enrolment with the Academy goes smoothly by:
Regularly contacting parents
Sending out Admissions Packs and collating consent and information forms
Raising new student folders, management of student records and archiving
Inputting student details on the MIS System, following up missing data
Contacting the parents of students who do not start the Academy when expected.
Developing relationships with feeder and local primary schools. Arranging transfer of files.
Keeping up to date with new Admissions Regulations and policies.
Co-ordination of appeals.
Sending out appeals paperwork
Taking and responding to telephone enquiries.
Collating paperwork to be sent to both the appeals clerk and our appeals representative.
Providing spreadsheets and other information regarding admissions to our appeals representative.
Administration of In-Year admissions into the Academy
Liaise with the Local Authority on the waiting List for all years.
Contact previous/current schools for information regarding applicants
Informal meeting with Parents/Students to discuss admission
Writing offer letters
Arranging Timetables/Admission/Buddy
Developing and implementing protocols for In-Year Admissions
Ensuring smooth induction and first days
Communication with Faculty Directors, pastoral staff regarding new admissions
Aiding with off-rolling and transferring files for leavers in line with the Federation and Statutory procedures
Assisting with the transfer and receipt of student files (including SEND and Safeguarding records)
Data Management support
Supporting Data Manager in inputting, amending, extract reports and analysis
Supporting ALG, students and staff in use of Academy’s MIS system
Administrative Support
Deal with complex reception/visitor etc. matters
Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems/procedures/policies
Coordinate the administration of pupil admissions and leavers
Train and develop administrative staff as appropriate
Manage manual and computerised record/information systems
Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required
Provide personal, administrative and organisational support to other staff
Undertake administration of complex procedures
Complete and submit complex forms, returns etc., including those to outside agencies, e.g. DfE

Eden Park High School is a new school in Beckenham.
