Advanced Level Teaching Assistant job summary
- A thorough understanding of the needs of the SEN department and the changing needs of the students with AEN
- Ability and confidence to be with a class and act as the main support within that class following cover work and assisting where able
- Evidence of qualifications in level 3 or above in a specific subject area
- Ability to work as part of a team or equally independently
- Must have proven ability to work with small groups of SEN students in a particular subject area
- High degree of confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with students and their parents
- To have a real engagement with the subject area and SEN students
- Excellent communicator
