About the Academy:

Outwood Alternative Provision Eston is an innovative alternative provision centre, principally for students from Outwood Academies in the Northern Region who need additional behavioural, social, emotional or mental health support. Operating much smaller classes than our mainstream academies, this KS3/4 alternative provision focuses on personal development and the health and well being of students, whilst not losing academic rigour. The focus is on ensuring that all students can achieve well and are able to move to their next stage with confidence, be it education, employment or training.

We are an inclusive, and caring centre recently judged ‘good’ by Ofsted. At our heart, we aim to ensure we best meet the needs of our students. Our centre supports the most vulnerable students including those who have SEND and are disadvantaged. Many of our students experience significant barriers to learning and some have adverse childhood experiences.
