Afterschool Club Assistant

Payscale: Grade D, Point 5

10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year


 DEMAT and Weeting Primary School are looking to appoint an Afterschool Club Assistant, commencing 1 September 2023.

Weeting Primary School is on an exciting journey and we would love you to join us!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Afterschool Club Assistant to join our highly committed team. At the end of the session you will be required to tidy away the activities used, clean the tables and sweep the floor. You will also be required to wash up any items used in the preparation and serving of the afternoon snack.


The successful applicant will be:

·       Experienced in planning, delivering and leading exciting after school experiences for children across the primary age group

·       Preparing and serving healthy snacks

·       Highly organised and able to set clear priorities in managing their workload

·       Able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, parents and pupils

·       Able to work calmly under pressure

·       Able to show a ‘can-do’ attitude and seek solutions to problems

·       Able to work flexibly and creatively

·       Is happy and co-operative, able to work on own initiative

·       A strong team player

·       A person who demonstrates excellent initiative.
