After School Club Assistant job summary
We are looking to recruit an After School Club Assistant from 15.15pm - 18.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.
Purpose of the Role
To supervise activities and playground games as directed by the After School Club Supervisor
Maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the session, having regard to special or additional needs
Setting out and storing equipment
Provide a safe environment for pupils to play outside
A Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment
Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities
Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met
Encourage children to be resilient and independent and follow the values of their school
Ensure the behaviour system is followed and deal with incidents accordingly. Report to senior staff in line with the Academy’s policy
Liaise with parents and carers, under the direction of the After School Club Supervisor
Provide first aid as required
Undertake appropriate and relevant training
