After School Club Assistant job summary

Buckton Fields Primary School is a new two-form entry school which opened in September 2021 and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Breakfast Club provision. We are looking for a warm, friendly and reliable After School Club Assistant to support the day to day running of this wrap around care which provides a safe and enjoyable end to the children’s school day. We are looking for a team player who is able to welcome our children every morning with a smile. The successful applicant will be:

• Flexible, motivated and energetic
• Possess good communication skills and keen to work as part of a team
• Committed to high standards
• Interested in healthy eating and willing to undertake First Aid and Food Hygiene Training
• Able to set up fun and creative activities to keep children engaged
• Recognise the importance of play and relaxation opportunities
• Understand the varied needs of primary aged children

Our staff well-being is extremely important to us and we offer a well-being package for our staff team. Every member of staff will have access to a team of in-house wellbeing experts offering a range of services including counselling, nurses and physiotherapists as well as a 24 hour, 365 days a year GP helpline.
