After School Club Assistant job summary
We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and hard-working person to join our After School Care Provision. This is a part-time, permanent position of 6 hours a week , 2 days per week 3pm - 6pm, term time only.
Principle Responsibilities:
To be on duty in the areas allocated at the time allocated.
To provide support at our successful after school provision.
The successful candidate will be supervising the children, ensuring their safety, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children and liaising with parents.
They will also:
be able to show initiative;
be able to develop positive relationships with children, parents and staff;
demonstrate the ability to develop exemplary professional, creative, and personal qualities:
have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
What skills / experience are required:
Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but not essential
Good communication skills and a pleasant manner
Enjoy working with children
First Aid Certificate desirable, if not a willingness to train
