After School Club - Assistant
Staveley Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed to assistant to work alongside the ASC Playleader providing a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and group activities, and to organise appropriate range of activities for children.
Assistant Playworker role
The successful candidate will be required to:
Assist with the putting out and putting away of the tables and chairs required for snack time.
Support the playleader in planning a wide range of creative and enjoyable activities;
To ensure that all activities are inclusive for all children to take part in
Ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner
Supervise the children inside and in assisting in playground games.
Reinforce positive behaviour strategies and follow the procedures identified in the school behaviour policy
be positive and upbeat
be enthusiastic about working with children
be able to take and act on advice
be a team player
be a good communicator
Hours of work
Monday to Thursday, 3.15pm – 5 30pm and Friday 3.15pm – 5.00pm – can be flexible on the number of days available in the week. Please do telephone the school for more information.
Staveley Community Primary School and Nursery is a small, friendly school with large grounds. We have 56 pupils in three classes and there is a lovely family-friendly feel to our school. Staveley Primary is part of the TIG (Togetherness Inspires Growth) Federation along with Kirk Hammerton Church of England School and Long Marston Primary School. The candidate will be appointed to the TIG Federation primarily working at Staveley School.
