Wraparound Care Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Wraparound Care Manager to join our dedicated team at Beaminster St Mary's Academy. Our afterschool club runs from 3.15pm to 5.45pm, and caters for children aged 4 – 11. In this role, you will be responsible for planning engaging activities for our after-school club and making sure that the children have a positive and happy finish to the school. The safety and well-being of our children is also a paramount undertaking to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Wraparound School Club team, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of after-school care.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting learning and fun.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including administering first aid and reporting accidents.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates and seeking feedback.
  • Oversee and manage the Wraparound School Club team, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of after-school care.
  • Collaborate with school staff to create a seamless transition between school hours and club activities.
  • A commitment to supporting and upholding our school’s vision and values

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or a related field
  • Significant experience in a similar wraparound care or out-of-school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being

Desirable Qualities:

  • Knowledge of the local community and its resources
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Creativity and a flair for planning engaging activities
