After School Club Playworker job summary
We are looking for an After School Club Play Worker who:
• Is committed to our school mission statement and values
• Has a positive and flexible approach
• Is nurturing and supportive
• Enjoys working as part of a dedicated, vibrant and creative staff team
• Sets up activities before the start of the sessions
• Collects and escorts children from the school to the club
• Participates in the preparation and delivery of club refreshments
• Leads creative, stimulating and appropriate planned activities (e.g. art, cooking, sports)
• Monitors child led activities
• Promotes good behaviour by using praise and reward
• Follows any individual behaviour plans that have been implemented in the club
• Clears away activities at the end of the sessions, leaving all areas clean and tidy
• Administers first aid as required
• Records and reports accidents and incidents in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensures materials and equipment are kept clean and safe
