After School Club Playworker job summary

We are looking to appoint a After School Club Playworkers to join our team at Stewart Fleming Primary School, this positions is term time only for 38 weeks of the year. This role is for 9 hours per week working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only between 15.00-18.00. The position involves working closely with the children to provide encouragement, friendship and supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To assist the manager in offering the children a wide range of play activities and ensuring that the club offers the children a relaxed, informed and caring environment.
  • To work under the guidance of the After-School Club Leader, Extended School Leader and Head Teacher to provide child care for pupils attending the After-School Club Engaging and interacting with pupils
  • Assist in the preparation of snacks, cleaning away and washing up when required.
  • To be responsible to a group of children as designated by the manager
