What skills and experience we're looking for

Vaughan Primary School’s After School Club is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Playworker in its wrap around care provision.

Vaughan’s After School Club offer extends the school offer beyond the normal school day. The After School Clubs' vision is to provide a safe, caring, happy, warm and stimulating environment for children, where parents and families can feel confident and assured that the staff are dedicated and motivated to provide high quality childcare and play opportunities.

As a Playworker you will be responsible for ensuring a fun, active, stimulating and safe place for children attending the Vaughan After School Club to freely play as well as leading specific activities; adapting your skills and experience to work with different age ranges throughout a session. Ideally the candidate will hold a Level 2 Qualification in Childcare, with a preference for Emergency First Aid and Food Hygiene Qualifications (or be prepared to undertake said training, within the first three months of appointment).

What the school offers its staff

  • A dedicated and friendly team of professionals who are keen to develop and learn.
  • Excellent CPD opportunities to grow and develop.
  • Onsite parking.
  • Onsite canteen with locally sourced ingredients.
  • A cycle scheme and discounted gym membership, as part of the Harrow Council Local Authority offer.
