Aferschool Club Play Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking and caring play worker to join our team in establishing a new afterschool club provision.
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is an inclusive, diverse and over-subscribed school, serving the community of Bretton and the Sacred Heart and St Oswald’s Parish. We are proud members of St John the Baptist Catholic Multi-academy Trust. Christian values are at the core of our school and community however we welcome applicants from any or no faith background. We have very strong links with our local communities and Parish and regularly hold masses and worship in school with a commitment to developing our children spiritually as well as academically and socially.
Information about the role:
- 15:15-18:00 daily, Monday to Friday.
- This is a fixed-term appointment until Summer 2025 whilst we establish and trial this new provision.
- Term-time only.
The successful candidate will:
- - Have a good knowledge and understanding of SEND, in particular ASD, and knowledge of how best to support these pupils.
- Be passionate about ensuring that all children can learn to read.
- Be adaptable and able to work under pressure.
- Be open to support and advice.
- Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve, no matter their starting point.
- Be approachable, kind, compassionate and act in accordance with the Catholic ethos and values of the school (we welcome applications from both Catholic and non-Catholic candidates).
