What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and skilled colleague to join us as our Alternative Learning Centre Manager. Our ALC is embedded into our school and plays an important role in supporting students who at times find aspects of the school day challenging. The centre forms part of our SEND and Inclusion agenda and as our new colleague you play a key role in making all our students see their potential and help them to succeed.
You will lead the day to-day leadership and management of the ALC including the effective design of bespoke curriculum packages, which improve the engagement of students with an ALC placement.
You will:
- Have a good understanding of child/young people’s development and learning processes.
- Demonstrate an understanding of individual children and young peoples’ needs.
- Have an understanding that children and young people have differing needs and knowledge of inclusive practice.
