Are you inspirational and enthusiastic, willing to do whatever it takes to help students to succeed? Do you have the skills and strategies to support students with additional needs to progress and achieve their potential in all aspects of their development? If so, this could be the role for you.
Here at St Anne’s Academy, we are looking for an Alternative Provision Assistant Manager to support students based in our onsite alternative provision unit, The LINK Centre, where a small number of selected students are supported and empowered to achieve, progress and return successfully to mainstream classes within school.
This is a brand-new role and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real difference to a group of children, working under the guidance of The LINK Centre Manager. You’ll be involved in planning, preparing, delivering and reviewing learning activities, assessing the progress that intervention has on student progress and support staff with their delivery of relevant interventions.
Applicants will have the experience, skills and strategies to support students with additional needs to progress and achieve their potential in all aspects of their development in the LINK Centre. You do not need to have previous experience of working in an AP unit, but the ability to work with children who have complex needs and learning styles is essential. You’ll also be able to build strong professional working relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues, think on your feet and be a good problem solver. An NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
