Waingels is seeking to appoint a committed, hard-working Coach Mentor to work in our new Succeed Centre to support our Alternative Provision and Curriculum Co-ordinator with the delivery of high-quality alternative provision for individuals and groups of students.
The Succeed Centre is part of our ambitious and innovative approach with the aim of meeting the many challenging and complex needs of some of our most vulnerable students who struggle to access the normal school curriculum. The successful candidate will play an important role to play in the centre, helping to foster an environment where students feel safe, are supported with their education, well-being and mental health and delivering a provision that will give these students a brighter future.
You will support the Co-ordinator and other staff to plan, devise and deliver an exciting, challenging and flexible curriculum; delivering some aspects of this curriculum and working with small groups and individual students. The role will be varied and challenging and you will bring your energy, empathy and enthusiasm for working with young people to every aspect of this role including:
- Delivering a range of sessions for young people
- Working indoors and outdoors on projects, single support sessions and everything in between!
- Creating a safe environment, supporting students with their educational, behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Support with the administration of the succeed centre
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including parents and other staff members
Experience of working with behaviour, social and emotional needs would be an advantage.
