Alternative Provision Instructor job summary
The College seeks to appoint an Alternative Provision Instructor to instruct pupils within the school’s Right Path Programme (RPP).
The postholder will promote cultural diversity within the College and instruct pupils accessing an alternative provision, together with their families to allow them the best educational experience possible. The postholder will work within both KS3 and KS4 Right Path Programs, supporting and instructing both mainstream and more alternative lessons. You will be delivering alternative courses (ASDAN) as well as supporting mainstream curriculum subjects with the units and or the mainstream classroom.

The post will appeal to individuals who have a desire and commitment to enhance the lives of those pupils with social, emotional and mental health which manifest as externalising behaviours; our most challenging students. The post holder will aim to help these pupils achieve the best possible outcomes. This person will need to be willing to undergo training to develop their own understanding and be an excellent communicator and team player. They will have excellent organisational skills, be resilient and flexible and respond to student needs using a Nurturing approach.
