Annual Review and Administration Assistant - Grade C job summary
Mill Ford is a school with a specialism in meeting the needs of children and young adults aged 3-19 with complex needs, including severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex medical needs and autistic spectrum conditions.
We are a friendly, child-centred school where staff work tirelessly to provide each child and young person with an individual and exciting curriculum that ensures pupils develop skills and knowledge for life now and in the future. We place a strong emphasis on ensuring our pupils aspire to be the best they can, are able to contribute to society, develop their communication and social skills, enjoy learning and have a strong sense of self. We ensure pupils can achieve these things independently in a nurturing environment, where they feel safe enough to take risks. We currently have 150 pupils from the age of 4 up to 19 across two sites.
We are seeking to employ a proactive, organised and enthusiastic Annual Review and Administration Assistant to work part time in our close knit team supporting our Family Liaison Manager to administer all aspects of the Annual Review Process. This is a busy role as every pupil at Mill Ford School has an EHCP that must be reviewed annually at a minimum.
You will need to:
- be organised and efficient
- have great attention to detail
- be able to work to tight deadlines
- be able to prioritise workloads
- be flexible and approachable
- work under your own initiative.
The role will also include:
- providing cover for our busy reception as required
- use of Bromcom
- general clerical duties including typing of letters, reports and other documents as necessary
- inputting information onto ParentPay and supporting parents with their use of the ParentPay system as well as liaising with the Local Authority regarding Free School Meals
- other admin tasks as required by the Admin or wider school teams.
Please see the attached Role Profile and Person Specification for more detailed information about the post.
This post is for 14.80 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time + Non-Pupil Days and 1 week in the summer holidays). Days and times are negotiable and will be agreed upon with the successful candidate prior to appointment.
N.B We are also recruiting for an HR Administration Assistant (Attendance and Wellbeing) and the two positions could be combined for the right candidate. If you would like to be considered for both positions, please ensure you submit separate applications for both vacancies.
Mill Ford School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, online search check and satisfactory references.
