To commence: 1st September 2024

We would like to appoint a warm and welcoming new member to join our admin team. You will need good administrative and people skills as you will be the first line of contact with children, parents and visitors to the school. Your main responsibilities will be providing clerical support to the busy school office, pupils and teachers, with the ability to be flexible, reliable and hard-working within a team to ensure duties are carried out efficiently and effectively. You will order and organise stock and first aid and you will promote our school throughout the local community.

As with any school office duties will vary from day to day.

No previous experience of working in a school is necessary as training will be given but you should have a calm and patient nature with a mature outlook and the ability to maintain complete confidentiality on all school matters. Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills are essential. In addition a good sense of humour and the ability to multitask is important. As an Apprentice Administrative assistant, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching and senior staff to undertake office support duties and assist the team in the day to day needs of the whole school community. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in an office environment while working towards a recognised qualification.

Visits to the school are encouraged and appointments can be made by telephoning the school office 01986 873194 or email: office@edgarsewterprimary.co.uk
