About the role

As an Apprentice General Teaching Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced teachers in a vibrant learning environment. This apprenticeship program offers the perfect pathway to develop your skills, earn a recognised qualification, and contribute to the education of future generations. You will:

  • Provide valuable support to teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist pupils with their learning needs, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the organisation and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Embrace a proactive approach to learning and actively participate in team collaborations.

About you

You will have a passion for helping others to learn and grow. You may be a school or college leaver or perhaps you are wanting to retrain and are enthusiastic about pursuing a career in education. We place great value on the importance of building effective relationships; therefore, you should be able to demonstrate how you would do so with pupils, parents, and colleagues. You will be able to work in partnership with your colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our pupils and have the drive and enthusiasm to become an outstanding teaching assistant.

What we can offer you

- First 6 months £7.10 per hour

- Months 6 - 12 £8.60 per hour

- Months 12 -24 £8.60 - £11.44

- Once qualified £11.78 - £12.38 per hour
