Flimby Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Apprentice Learning Support Assistant to join the team. This is a key role in providing a welcoming and safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
We are looking for a well-organised, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You will work to promote effective participation, enhance learning, and raise aspirations to help all children achieve their full potential. You will also play a key role in supporting teaching colleagues.
The successful candidate will:
- Study towards the CACHE Level 2 or 3 Support Teaching and Learning in school
- Provide support and guidance to children, young people and those engaged with them
- Appropriate Level 2 in both English and Maths at a grade C or above.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare, safety and education of pupils.
- An understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
