Apprentice Sport Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary
Are you keen to develop your skills in a school environment and work towards a qualification as Level 3 Sport Teaching Assistant?
If so, we are interested in hearing from you. Working under the guidance of teaching staff the right candidates will be supported to develop and grow.
Successful candidates will be expected to work across the school. The Sports Teaching Assistant apprenticeship uses the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard along with two embedded coaching qualifications to enable those in a Sports TA role to achieve a relevant qualification whilst working in this position.
Your hours of work will be 10am – 6pm each day as part of the Sports element will be delivered during our After School Club. You should be educated to the appropriate standard and have an enthusiastic and professional attitude. You will be willing to support the whole school ethos of collaborative working, supporting and assisting the Headteacher with a range of activities including assisting in our wrap around care provision where required.

Candidate Requirements
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Sport Teaching Assistant qualification.
• An interest working with children.
• Has a professional and respectful approach which demonstrates support and shows mutual respect.
• Is committed to the needs of the pupils, parents and other stakeholders and can provide efficient and effective service.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude around school.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people.
• Work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative.
• Can prioritise and work to deadlines.
• You will be crucial to a small, professional team and will work as a collaborative team member delivering an excellent experience for our children.
