Apprentice Teaching Assistant job summary

We want the successful candidate to share our vision of providing creative and stimulating learning opportunities to develop the whole child. The successful apprentice will help to provide a safe and happy learning environment which enables every child to flourish. The apprentice will support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education process by providing care and supervision to children.

GCSE in both English and Mathematics at Grades A-C/4 or the equivalent are essential.

We are looking for an apprentice who is able to demonstrate:

Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to use own initiative
Good organisational skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Good rapport with both adults and children

This is a training opportunity and as such you will be assigned a school-based mentor. We are working in partnership with Hartlepool Further Education College.
