What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Applicants will have a minimum of Maths and English GCSE A-C 3-5 GCSE qualifications or equivalent, including Maths and English. If not already achieved the candidate must have the ability to work towards achieving functional skills level 2 within the lifespan of the apprenticeship.
  • Willingness to work towards a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • High standard of written and oral communications and good IT skills
  • A knowledge of, and commitment to, equality and diversity in school and workplace You will have the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviour, showing good behaviour management skills in all areas around the school.

South Hunsley School has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive SEND team.

The working hours are from 8:30AM AND 3:30PM Monday to Friday during the school term, your actual salary is £15,099.79 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
