What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a caring, empathetic and creative Teaching Assistant to join our Area Resource Base of ten pupils with special educational learning needs. The base is for children from early years to Year 6 and sits within our main school building. The children have a range of needs and are supported by a highly skilled and dedicated team.
Experience of working with children with SEND, particularly autism,communication & language needs and/or sensory needs, would be advantageous. The role will involve playing with children, supporting their routines, helping work towards their individual targets, supporting with lunch and snack times, supporting with intimate care and taking trips out into the local area.Training will be provided by the class teacher.
Passion, initiative and flexibility are essential.
This is a permanent, term time plus 2INSET days position for 30 hours per week.
