q Good planning and organisational skills
q Ability to prioritise staffing skills where needed

q Self motivated and able to manage own diary
q Able to confidently and competently apply knowledge and skills acquired from training into a practical classroom context
q Ability to motivate and encourage pupils
q Able to communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff
q Computer literate – able to manage and organise assessments
q Ability to make use of ICT to support pupils’ learning
Qualifications & Experience
q Relevant qualifications to include either A Levels, NVQ3 (including English and Maths) or NNEB plus GCSEs grades A to C or Sub level 3 vocational qualification
q Experience with pupils with learning difficulties / SEN
q Experience of managing people
q 2 years’ experience within a school-based setting / learning environment
q Qualified First Aider

The role of Area Lead is an exciting opportunity for the right person to be involved with working alongside Strand Leads to ensure classes have effective staffing and to help with day to day management of support staff.
