ARP Teaching Assistant job summary

WANTED

… a special person to be a Teaching Assistant working as part of team within the school’s Additional Resources Provision (ARP) for children with a diagnosis of autism.

We are looking for an applicant who is/has:

experience of supporting children with a diagnosis of autism

experience of running interventions under guidance

experience of supporting children with language needs

knowledge of strategies and resources children with these needs may benefit from

experience of supporting children who may have difficulties managing emotions

- good behaviour management and skills to support children to regulate their emotions

calm and confident, adaptable and flexible

enthusiastic, positive and creative

resilient, persistent and willing to get involved

ability to contribute to a supportive team
