Art Design & Technology Teacher job summary
Felpham Community College is a vibrant, forward-looking school on the south coast in West Sussex. Our January 2016 OFSTED inspection resulted in the school achieving ‘Good’ for all categories. The school is an 11-18 local authority, mixed comprehensive with 1370 students on roll and a very successful sixth form. This is an exciting time to join Felpham as we embark on improving our facilities for our students and staff with an £11.5M building project completing in 2019.
We are seeking to appoint an Art Design & Technology Teacher to join an established and effective team of specialists. The department is well resourced and teachers regularly plan collaboratively to ensure high standards of teaching and learning for our students. The Technology department will be moving into our new building in autumn 2019.
The successful applicant will be keen to immerse themselves in this stimulating environment and be a creative and effective practitioner. They will be required to teach food technology & 3D design across Key Stages 3, 4 with potential at Key Stage 5 and whilst not essential, the ability to teach graphics would be desirable. A desire to build strong, effective relationships with students and staff to create a cohesive, inclusive and positive school environment is also sought.
