We are looking to appoint a technician to work within the Art and Photography Department, with responsibility for the organisation and preparation of practical materials to support teaching.
This post would suit a candidate who has experience in or a strong enthusiasm for the visual arts including Digital Photography.
Good organisational skills and an ability to take the initiative in order to keep the Art department running smoothly would be essential. Ideally the candidate should be able to demonstrate an active interest in Art and Photography as they would be expected to be involved in helping with exhibitions and display of work as well as helping to prepare educational resources and assist in practical demonstrations in both subjects. A working understanding of Adobe Photoshop would also be preferable.
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices within an educational environment would be useful, but not essential as training would be provided.
