An exciting opportunity for an excellent Art Teacher to join our very successful Art Department. This post is suitable for an ECT.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Art teacher to join our very successful Creative Arts Faculty, which comprises Music, Drama and Art. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and skilled practitioner. They will be required to teach KS3, GCSE and A level. Experience with ceramics would be desirable.
Art is taught at all key stages and is a popular choice at KS4 and KS5 where we currently offer AQA Art & Design. Students have achieved outstanding results in recent years with some going on to study foundation courses and degrees at institutes including UCA and Leeds University. We have a reputation for presenting high quality, exciting exhibitions both in school and the wider community.
The Art Department is always open and we offer coursework clinics before and after school and at lunchtime five days a week. We organise a range of exciting trips and visits to galleries, museums and other places of interest that are planned to support and develop the work that students produce. Our ethos emphasises the importance of supporting students to develop their creative intelligence and confidence with materials, skills and processes so that they can realise their own intentions. There is no house style; we encourage students to produce work that is personal. The department is well resourced with facilities for ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, digital photography and drawing and painting.

Greig City Academy is a Church of England school that welcomes staff and students of all faiths or no faith.
