What skills and experience we're looking for

The College is looking to appointment a teacher of Art. Art has been a very successful subject for a number of years and the ideal candidate will be an effective and innovative teacher, capable of inspiring students of all abilities, and able to teach key stage 3 and key stage 4. The ability to offer additional subject areas would be ideal. This is an exciting opportunity and would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an outstanding ECT/NQT who wants to work in a school focused on ensuring that all students achieve or exceed their potential.

What the school offers its staff

In 2022 our overall Attainment 8 score was 5.5 and a Progress 8 of +0.44. Students studying Art achieved 81% grade 5 and above and 43% grade 7 and above.

For comparison, in 2019 our overall Attainment 8 score was 5.2 and Progress 8 was +0.39. Students studying Art achieved 95% grade 5 and above and 59% grade 7 and above.

The Community College Bishop’s Castle is a popular rural secondary school, which provides our community with good to outstanding development, learning and progress in a positive, pleasant learning environment.
