What skills and experience we're looking for
Responsible to: Head of Expressive Arts/Art and other delegated teaching staff
Overall function: to support teachers in the classroom
Schedule of Duties:
- to assist teachers and pupils in the erection of displays of art work
- to observe health and safety regulations
- preparation of materials, tools and equipment under the supervision of the teacher
- maintaining materials and equipment and their storage. The woodwork tools to be maintained by the full-time technology technician
- preparation of resources for teachers and pupils
- maintenance of audio-visual equipment books and reference sources
- preparation of photographic silk-screen, plus cleaning the screens
- assisting with presentation and display around the school
- assisting with storage and checking resources
- assisting with organisation of storage of pupils’ work
- assisting with liaison with other departments and reprographic resources
- clearing and cleaning work surfaces and equipment when necessary
- assisting pupils with design and printing for KS4 and 5, in liaison with teachers
- organising and ordering capitation in liaison with teachers
- organising the annual rota for entrance hall
In Addition
- To organise and order for the art shop
- Maintaining the photography equipment, booking out
- Organising KS4 and KS5 work for the moderation process
- storage of work and returning to students
- 1:1 working with students
