From September 2022, we are seeking to appoint an inspiring and creative Art Technician to join our popular and successful Art Department. Ideally, we are looking for someone with an art background and practical skills to be able to prepare materials for art lessons. Knowledge of Photoshop would be advantageous but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a former art teacher who wishes to return to education in a different capacity or a student looking at possible routes into teaching and wants to make a real impact in this “truly exceptional school” where “behaviour is outstanding” (Ofsted).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • The passion to help support students in the art department to raise standards of student attainment in all key stages
  • A background in art and a willingness to prepare resources for lessons with the direction from teachers the ability to hang artwork for shows.
  • IT literate and be able to follow email instructions, make purchase requests for resources and assist with department admin including trips and events.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to be flexible to the changing needs of the department
