Art Technician job summary

We require for 1st September 2022, a Technician to join our thriving and extremely successful Art department. Key aspects of the post will be to digitally create resources for classes across all year groups (years 9 – 13) as well as making canvasses and preparing resources for the art classrooms. You will be responsible for researching and booking art trips, including workshops and also responsible for liaising with external agencies to organise student exhibitions. A major part of the role will be working with students to develop their computer skills, as well as supervising small groups to motivate and inspire them with their practical work. The ideal candidate will need to be adaptable, as this practical work can range from drawing and painting to photography or print. Training can be offered in media you are less confident using.
