What skills and experience we're looking for
Post 1: Achievement Support Assistant
Grade 4 SCP 5-7 (£23,500 - £24,294 pro rata)
32.5 hours per week
8:30am – 3:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Fixed-term until 31/08/2025 initially
Term-time only (190days per year)
Post 2: Teaching Assistant
Grade 3 SCP 3-5 (£22,737 - £23,500 pro rata)
20 hours per week
8:30am – 12:30pm Mon-Fri
Child specific – fixed-term until the child leaves the school

To start as soon as possible We are looking for two support staff to join our team and contribute to our ongoing successes.
Post 1 is to deliver interventions across the school (from Rec-Y6), to support our children to close gaps and catch up quickly. You will work under the direction of the SENDCo and Pupil Premium Lead to deliver bespoke programmes that help some of our most vulnerable pupils to enhance their knowledge – especially in core subjects. Experience of working with individuals and groups of pupils on specific programmes will be advantageous for this post. This post will also include thirty minutes of lunch cover.
Post 2 is to support a pupil with SEND, in their mainstream class in a morning. You will support the pupil to learn alongside their peers, breaking down tasks into manageable chunks, and providing support as needed. This post will also include thirty-minutes of lunch cover (12:00-12:30pm). Experience of working with pupils with complex needs is desirable.
The successful candidates will:
- Have an understanding of how children learn and how to get the best from them
- Have experience of working in a primary or nursery setting - Be a team player, willing to go above and beyond for our children
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be understanding and have empathy with children
- Have a passion to work with vulnerable children and be flexible to meet their needs
