ASD Provision Lead job summary

We are seeking a specialist autism practitioner to play a key role in leading and developing this dedicated provision as a Centre of Excellence. We offer a range of provision for our students with language and communication difficulties who may also have autism spectrum disorder and we have a well-established and inclusive specialist provision which supports secondary age ASD students within the mainstream secondary setting.

You will work with a highly professional team who believe in the inclusion and success of all our students and giving them the best possible prospects for their future lives. We are ambitious in striving to meet individual needs and improving their learning opportunities.

You must have experience in supporting the needs of students with ASD and be qualified in SEN / Child Development / Psychology. Committed to the inclusion of all our students, you will of course have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to make a positive contribution to our community.

Our Director of Inclusion would be delighted to welcome you to the Emmaus Centre to meet the team and answer any questions that you may have, prior to applying.

As ASD Provision Lead you will:

  • Have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the provision
  • Lead and develop this provision to greater successes
  • Coordinate the daily curriculum for students with ASD
  • Provide targets for students based on their Education Health and Care Plan
  • Teach social language and communication groups
  • Support language and communication needs across the wider academy
  • Support and liaise with families of students accessing the specialist provision
