ASD/SLD Teacher job summary
Due to our rapid and continued expansion we are looking to appoint creative, enthusiastic teachers to work in our secondary and sixth form departments. As well as having a good sense of humour, you will need to be well organised, calm, patient and passionate about teaching students with special educational needs. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief and have the desire and motivation to make this happen. Oaklands is an ‘outstanding’ special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism aged 4-19.
We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students and we serve a socially and ethnically diverse population, with children coming from within Hounslow and the surrounding Boroughs.
