What skills and experience we're looking for

Accountable To: CEO; Headteacher of hosting school

This is a new, exciting role, in and across the Bridge Academy Trust. The successful candidate will start working for the trust but will be ready to (and supported to do so) move into a Headteacher/Head of School role within 6-18 months. The role will be split working alongside a current Headteacher in one of our schools and also working with key leaders centrally in the trust. This will give a ‘live’ and ‘real’ coaching opportunity whilst giving you access to our Directors of Education, CFOO, Director of Finance, HR and Compliance, for accelerated development and understanding.

When working in one of our schools, you will lead on a key school improvement project, alongside the Headteacher. You will also shadow the Headteacher to gain a full understanding of what it is like to lead a school, and how solutions are found when issues arise, as well as how to effectively drive improvement across the whole school and to determine a school culture.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to ensure that when in post as a Headteacher the quality of education and provision enjoyed by our students is outstanding. The role will work very closely with our Directors of Education and will provide exceptional development in readiness for someone who is aspirational to lead on trust-wide work in the future, or further promotion.

It is our collective responsibility to develop schools capable of delivering truly world-class education in the 21st Century. This is why we are fully committed to supporting and developing every member of staff to be the best that they can be. It is the responsibility of the Bridge Executive Board working with and alongside school leaders, central staff and all school staff to deliver this strategy and to bring it to fruition. The Board of Trustees and Bridge Executive Board will receive regular information and feedback from staff at all levels to reflect and to monitor the impact of this strategy. We are here to inspire, empower and educate. We are here with the knowledge, guidance and resources to enable you to become the best you can be. Welcome to your Bridge Academy Trust journey
