The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate, from current teaching practice, their ability to enthuse and motivate their pupils regardless of their starting point and be committed to raising standards for all. You will have experience in leading whole-school improvement projects with measured impact and a proven track record of leading a team and modelling excellence to improve academic outcomes. Part of your role will be to improve standards of teaching and learning across school, playing a key role in embedding the vision and values of the school and the design and implementation of staff CPD including mentoring and coaching staff at all levels.

Purpose of the Job

To support the Executive Headteacher with the leadership and management of the school in order to promote effective education and care and contribute to the learning, personal development and well-being of all pupils.

Be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) discharging individual responsibilities to a high standard as well as supporting the work of the team at all times.

The role will require the candidate to teach across all year groups to focus in on closing the attainment gap in Reading, Writing and Maths, however, this may not be a class-based role.

To model outstanding classroom practice and ensure quality-first teaching across school by having a strong understanding of pedagogy and the latest academic research.

To lead aspects of whole-school professional learning across the school and MAT.

To be a Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school and have a good understanding of the needs of children from disadvantaged backgrounds including behaviour, SEMH and pastoral support.

Be an excellent role-model for all staff and children, ensuring that they lead by example at all times.
