Faringdon Community College are looking for an Assistant Caretaker to take pride in establishing a learning environment that is safe, attractive and inviting.
The Assistant Caretaker is responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the security, compliance, day to day running and repair and maintenance of the fabric and grounds of the schools.
The role is both ‘hands on’ and physical which requires a good understanding of health and safety issues. The successful candidate will have a broad range of demonstrable repairs, maintenance and caretaking skills, in addition to good computer literacy.
The role requires effective communication with a range of people including children, staff, parents, visitors and contractors. The successful candidate will be approachable, well-motivated and be able to work on their own initiative with a practical and proactive approach.
Grade 5 working hours and pattern to be discussed at interview.
