Assistant Caretaker job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and reliable person to work alongside our current site team at the Black Pear Trust.
The position is primarily based at Hollymount School, Worcester.
Duties to include:
General premises and grounds maintenance,
Ensuring the inside and outside environment are well maintained, clean and meet Health and Safety requirements.
Supervising a small group of cleaners
Being part of the cleaning team
Safe storage and maintenance of cleaning apparatus and materials
Greeting and supervising external professionals e.g. plumbers who may work on site
Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure, as well as a willingness to contribute to the continued high standards of our school. Experience of maintenance, plumbing, carpentry or DIY would be an advantage; a current driving licence is essential.
Our pupils are taught that they can make a difference to the world. We want to provide them with a school environment which meets our high expectations of them and ourselves. This is a great opportunity to be part of the school community.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Part-time: 30 hours per week; 12pm – 6pm (although there may be some flexibility in this for the right candidate)
Term time only plus 5 days.
