Assistant Curriculum Leader of MFL job summary
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages.
This is predominantly a position for the teaching of French but an ability to teach Spanish would be welcomed. This post would suit a well-qualified French teacher who has experience of teaching across the key stages including A level. It would suit someone with one or more years of teaching experience who wishes to develop themselves as a leader. As well as leading on the teaching of French across the academy, the successful applicant will be working alongside the Curriculum Leader for MFL whose role encompasses the strategic leadership of the curriculum area, which includes French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and who also has oversight of our funded programme of the teaching of Mandarin Chinese both within the academy and through outreach work with the Swire Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching Modern Foreign Languages to all pupils and enabling our young people to discover and celebrate other cultures and to experience other cultures in action whenever possible.
