Assistant Curriculum Team Leader for English, Literacy and Oracy job summary
We are looking for an inspirational and dedicated Assistant Curriculum Team Leader for English, Literacy and Oracy to join Avon Valley Academy (AVA). If you are an experienced practitioner with a real passion for your subject and an enthusiasm to work with our brilliant pupils, we want to hear from you. We are a rapidly improving school and we are growing – our year 7 grew by almost 50% in one year. This means that there are numerous opportunities available to the right candidate.
AVA is unapologetically strict. Our students operate in a calm working atmosphere which enables all of our pupils to flourish in all that they do. Teaching and learning is then able to take centre stage and, grounded in evidence based practice, our approach to teaching and learning ensures that our students have all that they require to succeed in life. We are also very aware that school is about more than lesson time and we offer extensive opportunities including Duke Of Edinburgh, an annual school performance, orchestra, boxing, chess club not to mention trips for our students including skiing, Spain, galleries etc.
