Assistant Head/Class Teacher job summary
Clenchwarton Primary School, part of West Norfolk Academies Trust are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who will be an outstanding leader able to inspire the pupils and staff to enable them to reach their full potential in all areas of their learning.
They must have the ability to combine class teaching along with the leadership role. The role will include carrying out appraisals for all staff (teaching and support), day to day running of the school when an Executive leader is not present and also being one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads.
You will be a dedicated professional with a passion for teaching and learning, to work in partnership with the executive leadership team, staff and governors. The post is suitable for candidates with demonstrable, successful leadership experience. The person appointed will also have a teaching commitment.
The successful candidate will support the Executive Leadership Team in securing high standards of teaching and learning across the whole school. We are looking for a candidate who is forward thinking and solution focused. They will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations of self and others, able to coach and mentor colleagues to bring out the best while creating a climate for teaching and learning which leads children to a lifelong love of learning.
We would also expect the successful candidate to contribute to the vision, self-evaluation, planning and successful outcomes of the school and the whole academy trust.

Clenchwarton Primary School is a one form entry school with around 195 children split into seven classes. We believe all children in our school are entitled to a secure and happy environment, in which they are encouraged to become independent, considerate to others and to make the most of their abilities.
The children at Clenchwarton are well behaved, hardworking and report that they really enjoy coming to school. They also report how well cared for they feel by our wonderful team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff, who are also well behaved and hardworking!
