Academy, an Alternative Provision setting for pupils aged from 4 to 16
years. Our ideal candidate will have
excellent teamwork and communication skills, boundless patience and resilience
and the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with pupils who have a
range of social, emotional and mental health needs. We are looking for someone
who embodies the Trust’s values; someone who has diverse experience, as well as
a passion for working with young people with additional needs.
The successful candidate will work
supportively with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in; ensuring high
quality teaching and learning and leading staff. This is an exciting
opportunity for an individual to lead strategically on key areas in our drive
for continuous improvement and we are looking for applicants who have a proven
record of accomplishment of success, have a positive approach and are
determined to make a difference to the lives of our young people.

Shoreline Academy is located in North Devon. There are two sites, one located
in Barnstaple for secondary pupils and Primary is in Bideford.
Bideford site hosts our Primary and Nurture pupils; we aim to focus on
emotional needs and development in a whole-academy environment. We recognise
that all children are different and learn at different rates. Individuals
should feel supported and challenged in their learning. Sometimes
children face barriers to learning; in a Nurturing environment staff provide
support, guidance, and model positive relationships.

get back on track, either through a transition to a more permanent education
setting or, for our older pupils, by completing Year 11 with The Shoreline
closely with a diverse range of outside agencies both statutory and voluntary
so that our pupils and their families can access the support and guidance they
