What skills and experience we're looking for

As the Assistant Head of centre you will support the Head of Centre for Eastbourne with responsibility for strategic direction and development of student engagement and attendance, with rigorous attention to how this translates to aspirational outcomes for all students. As the Assistant Head you will have input into curriculum development and implementation. This will include empowering staff in their delivery of high quality teaching and learning and preparing pupils for eventual progression post 16 or reintegration pre-16 into mainstream settings.

What the school offers its staff

College Central is a countywide Pupil Referral Unit with multiple sites across East Sussex. It provides education to young people who have been, or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream school and may display difficult and challenging behaviours. College Central Eastbourne are looking for an Assistant Head of Centre with SENCo responsibilities on a secondment until 31st August 2024.
