Assistant Head (SENCo and DSL) Ideally to start on June 7th 2021, or September start
(L1 -4 depending on experience)
We are looking for a teacher who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities and is passionate about Special Educational Needs. Ideally, the candidate would have some SENCO experience and may have completed the National Award for SEN Co-ordination. The successful candidate would also be responsible for leading safeguarding throughout the school and continuing to develop our highly talented teaching assistant team.
We are hoping the successful candidate will be able to start in June to allow for a successful period of transition with the outgoing Assistant Head.

GEMS Didcot Primary is an Ofsted rated “Outstanding”, popular, ambitious and successful multicultural primary school, with a nursery, that opened in September 2016. The school currently has 395 pupils (from nursery to Year 6) and will grow by 60 Reception pupils a year until the school reaches maximum capacity of 420 in 2022. We are very proud of the school that we are creating. The successful candidate will also be SENCO at our newest school that opened in Wantage in September 2020 half a day a week.
GEMS Learning Trust has been established to offer all children in our academies a first class education.
